The Steel Ring in Třinec played host to a memorable second round of the 2025 Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy. It was a historic debut for the impressive Czech venue, where a packed crowd witnessed fierce battles across all five Rotax categories. In the Czech Cup by Mini MAX, Emerson MacAndrew-Uren won the title and RMC Grand Finals ticket. Series class winners for round 2 were Mate Kobakhidze (Junior MAX), Macauley Bishop (Senior MAX), Jakub Bezel (DD2) and Nicolas Picot (DD2 Masters).

After a calm start to the weekend, Saturday’s rain reshuffled the deck, challenging drivers with rapidly changing conditions and testing their adaptability to the limit. Only four of the five classes competed for championship points, as Mini MAX ran under the banner of the Czech Cup — with a Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals ticket on the line.

MacAndrew-Uren punches Grand Finals ticket

The Czech Cup by Mini MAX delivered a thrilling showdown from start to finish.

Riley Murro (Sam Pollitt Racing) set the tone early, grabbing pole on Friday ahead of surprise Group 2 leader Mathias Drexler (KRT Racing Team). Saturday brought chaos: Alfie Mair (SFR Motorsport) initially stole the show with a win in the first heat, but a penalty later dropped him out of the top five following this.

That reshuffle paved the way for Lucien Smith (KR Sport) to inherit pole position for Sunday, with teammate Oliver Spencer and Tom Read (Strawberry Racing) close behind.

But it was Emerson MacAndrew-Uren (Dan Holland Racing) who emerged victorious in the Final. In a wheel-to-wheel fight with Friday’s poleman Murro, MacAndrew-Uren held his nerve to secure the win — and the coveted ticket to the 2025 Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals. Murro finished a solid second, while Tom Read completed the podium after a consistent weekend.

Triple podium seals Dan Holland Racing dominance

Fresh from his win in Wackersdorf, Jacob Ashcroft (Dan Holland Racing) looked virtually untouchable on Friday, taking pole and dominating the early heats. Saturday saw him extend his perfect record to 4 out of 4 heat wins — but the fight was far from over.

Rayan Ghandour (KR Sport) quietly impressed with consistent top-three results, earning pole for Pre-Final B, while Dan Holland’s Mate Kobakhidze and Boaz Maximov (Bouvin Power) stayed firmly in contention.

When it mattered most, Kobakhidze stepped up. Claiming his first RMC Euro Trophy victory, he led a commanding 1-2-3 for Dan Holland Racing, followed by Cole Denholm — who now boasts back-to-back podiums — and championship leader Ashcroft in third.

Bishop runs the table in style

From pole position on Friday to the top step on Sunday, Macauley Bishop (Dan Holland Racing) executed a flawless weekend in Senior MAX.

The battle with Sean Butcher (KR Sport) was the headline act, peaking in the final heat on Saturday, where Bishop edged ahead. Butcher, ever the contender, remained close and brought home a solid second place in the Final — enough to move him into the championship lead.

Surprising many was Cian Geraghty (Strawberry Racing), who delivered one of the performances of the weekend to secure third. With four Dan Holland drivers in the top seven — including Ties van Wijk and the ever-consistent Tereza Babickova and Lizzy Mentier — the British-based squad continues to show strength in depth.

Bezel dominates on home soil, Picot unstoppable again

Friday’s action in DD2 was all about Bende Zsabo (BirelART by KSB), who topped qualifying and controlled the heats. But come Sunday, it was the local hero Jakub Bezel (Kraft Motorsport) who stole the spotlight.

Bezel delivered a dominant drive in the Final, finishing more than five seconds ahead of Lenn Nijs (Schepers Racing) and teammate Will Elswood — much to the delight of the Czech fans.

In DD2 Masters, Nicolas Picot (NPS) made it two wins in two rounds with another textbook recovery, besting Xen De Ruwe (AKK Sportstill) and Maurits Knopjes (DAEMS Racing) in a hard-fought battle. Picot now clearly leads the title chase heading into the summer stretch.

The RMC Euro Trophy now heads to Belgium for Round 3 at the legendary Karting Genk – ‘Home of Champions’, scheduled for June 25–29. With the championship heating up, every point will count as the road to the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals continues.
