The legend that makes Le Mans one of the most special and memorable venues in motorsport continued to inspire the 293 competitors who participated at the fifth annual edition of the Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy over the weekend of July 26th to 29th.

On the race track in Mariembourg, Belgium, the international Rotax elite went all out again last weekend. The Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy ushered in the second half of the season and brought the championship decisions a whole lot closer with the fifth and sixth rounds. 145 drivers from all over the world gave full throttle and fought for the victories in a total of five categories, sometimes in the most difficult weather conditions. In the end, familiar faces were joined by new names on the podium of the event.

Motorsport racer Luca Koester had an exciting season in 2022: The 25-year-old driver from Germany fearlessly took on international circuits, leaving a trail of success in his wake. After clinching the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, Luca secured his ticket to the RMC Grand Finals in Portimão, Portugal. This coming weekend, the almost six-week wait for participants in the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy will finally come to an end. In Mariembourg, Belgium, the Austrian engine manufacturer's top-class racing series will kick off the second half of the season with the third race of the year. More than 150 competitors are registered on the entry list for the event. It’s no doubt that the racing action is expected to be thrilling on the 1,366-meter circuit in view of the progressing championship.

The championship duels of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy have begun. Last weekend in Genk, Belgium, the starting signal was given for the 2023 season of the international racing series of the Austrian engine manufacturer. 201 pilots from all over the world made their way to the challenging race track in Belgium and, after three action-packed days, crowned the first winners of the year.

Now in its 16th season, the BNL Karting Series makes an emphatic return to racing, having crowned its champions early last October, as they will be going full-throttle this coming weekend at the “Home of Champions,” Karting Genk for the annual Kick-Off.

The new season has already had a taste of what is in store for the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy in 2023, following the success of the recent RMCET Winter Cup held in Spain, as the championship prepares to begin its sixth year of international competition.

The first international Rotax race winners have been determined. Last weekend, the RMC Euro Trophy Winter Cup kicked off the new season in Campillos, Spain. Nearly 180 riders went full throttle on the demanding course in Andalusia and delivered exciting racing action at the start of the season.

BRP-Rotax is glad to announce the addition of a new championship to the Rotax racing calendar: the Rotax MAX Challenge Asia Trophy (RMCAT), which will be organized by the Rotax Authorized Distributor for Malaysia and Brunei, Amprex Racing Services (ARS).
