BRP-Rotax is glad to announce the addition of a new championship to the Rotax racing calendar: the Rotax MAX Challenge Asia Trophy (RMCAT), which will be organized by the Rotax Authorized Distributor for Malaysia and Brunei, Amprex Racing Services (ARS).
The RMC Asia Trophy (RMCAT) 2023 is the result of the evolution of the RMC Malaysia in combination with the RMC Thailand and is now positioned in the CIK-FIA calendar as Asia Zone status and is aiming to offer the race teams and drivers from the Asia region the opportunity to race within a wide field of drivers to compete for the coveted tickets to the RMC Grand Finals 2023.
Selective category winners of the RMCAT Championship will be awarded with a ticket to the RMC Grand Finals 2023 (RMCGF) which takes place in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 2nd to 9th December, 2023.

“The announcement of the RMC Asia Trophy 2023 by Amprex Racing Services, our newly-appointed Rotax distributor in Malaysia and Brunei, together with the cooperation of the consistently growing RMC Thailand, is another great example of the positive development for Rotax racing in the Asian region,” says Peter Oelsinger, General Manager BRP-Rotax / Member of the Management Board, Vice President Sales, Marketing RPS-Business & Communications. “We have confidence that this initiative will continue to build a strong presence for our brand within this market which includes at least twenty countries collectively. The potential is there with the RMCAT to offer more opportunity for our karting community to share their passion and take their racing to another level. Following the success of the first RMC Asia Festival last December in Langkawi, Malaysia, it is most encouraging to see the Asia Zone series now added to the Rotax international race calendar from May. We are looking forward to welcoming the Asian Trophy champions at the RMC Grand Finals in Bahrain!”
